Karlijin Verhagen dedicates her new cover of Luther Vandross' 'Dance With My Father' to her dear friend.
Luther Vandross co-wrote this song as a tribute to his father and was chosen as 'Song of the Year' at the 2004 Grammy Awards. It was Celine Dion who sang the song during awards night because Luther Vandross was too ill to attend. And it was Celine Dion's version which appeared to an album entitled 'So Amazing: An All-Star Tribute to Luther Vandross' after his death in 2005.
Her cover of this song was actually Celine Dion's version. What's so special on her new cover video is that her father was featured displaying a lovely father-daughter relationship.
